Environmental Management & Climate Change

GPDC is committed to minimising any detrimental environmental impacts arising from its operations. As part of our strategy to contribute to Nigeria's growing energy needs we take a proactive stance in the management of our natural resources.

To achieve this, we ensure complete compliance with all international and national environmental regulatory requirements across all our operations and those of our partners. We also ensure our activities reflect best practice standards and infuse energy efficient technologies which ultimately reduce our environmental footprint.

International and local legislative frameworks support the reduction of CO2 emissions as a mitigative measure for combating climate change. GPDC is doing its part to ensure that Nigeria's energy future is sustainable without compromising on the needs of future generations. We work closely with Government to structure climate change policy which reflects these requirements and promote less energy intensive energy solutions in our operation
